Hybrid Management for Hybrid Clouds

Cloud has shifted from being a replacement for traditional IT to being an extension; backup solutions archive automatically to one cloud, desktop and server workloads can run on-prem or in a private cloud depending on needs. Hybrid cloud is all about supplementing IT resources where and when it is needed, why not do the same with management? Managing a workload is a collection of tedious tasks (patching, monitoring, anti-virus, backups) requiring specialized tools and processes. When extending into a managed cloud provider, an enterprise should be able to pick and choose which of those tasks they will continue to perform, and which they want to delegate to the cloud provider. Granular management options allow for an organization to take advantage of investments in some existing tools and processes instead of an all-or-nothing model.
